Why is ABAgraph a plugin for Wordpress instead of a regular desktop application?
By being a part of Wordpress, graphs are created in one location and can be published, viewed and backed up easily. Nothing is installed locally on an individual computer, access is through the browser. It’s not necessary to email graphs. Graphs can be created from a capable cell/mobile phone (ABAgraph and iPhone).
With graphs viewable from anywhere there is less of a need to print - reducing costs (paper, print cartridges and printers).
But isn’t Wordpress for Blogs?
Yes and it is being used increasingly for Content Management. It is free, fast and customizable. The Wordpress user community is vast meaning a large variety of plugins and software that is put to the test through extensive use making it robust.
What is ABAcms?
ABAcms is a customized version of Wordpress (version 2.3.3) for managing content for Applied Behavioral Analysis for autism. It can be used to publish a website, write programs and other content such as graphs that are only available internally and create user accounts for parents to access site and view content related to their child.
